LGP 2024-2025 Biennial Report-digital - Flipbook - Page 5
This report invites us to reflect on what we have achieved over the past two
years, while setting our sights on the future with invigorated purpose. It
stands both as a record of shared accomplishment and as a tribute to the
community whose commitment makes that work possible.
It chronicles two years shaped by care, continuity, and deliberate growth.
Within these pages are stories of gardens and natural lands sustained
through devoted stewardship and animated by inspired collaboration.
Here, the Preserve’s mission—to conserve and share the beauty of our
historic lands and gardens—finds tangible expression in the work of our
people and partners.
The year 2024 importantly marked the appointment of Patrick MacRae as
Chief Executive Officer. Patrick brings exceptional attention to detail, creative and elegant vision, and a profound respect for the Preserve’s history
and purpose. The organization is confident in his leadership and energized
by the direction he is guiding us toward in this next chapter.
Equally central to this report is our commitment to clarity and accountability. The financial summaries reflect a disciplined balance between investing
in today’s priorities and planning responsibly for tomorrow. We honor the
trust placed in us by our donors, members, and friends, and we are proud
to show how that trust is transformed into meaningful, mission-driven
work across the Preserve.
As we move forward into a new era of stewardship—one that deepens our
understanding of these landscapes and strengthens our ability to care for
them—we do so with sincere gratitude. Your continued support ensures
that the gardens and lands we cherish will endure as places of beauty, inspiration, and belonging for generations to come.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your partnership, your
generosity, and your shared belief in the enduring significance of these
magical places.
With appreciation,
Kate Macko
